All Internet Marketers (and certainly list owners) know that “the money is in the list”.

In the last couple of years, a new method of list building was conceived primarily in the Internet Marketing circle. It’s called: Give Away Events!

List building is now made possible through the spirit of GIVING AWAY!

To join a Give Away event in the shoes of a contributor or JV partner is zero cost! But you can rake in hundreds, possibly thousands of subscribers through joining Give Away events!

And to get started, all you need is a gift of your own and an auto responder to take red-hot leads in!

The host of the Give Away event invites partners or contributors to contribute a gift. The gifts are usually digital products, like: E-Book, Report, Audio/Video product, Membership pass or software Script.

The host of the event then pools all the gifts contributed by the partners and contributors into one or more pages into a member’s area. Everyone can become a member for Free and get access to the member area where all the gifts are displayed.

The link displayed with each gift brings the member to the individual partner’s or contributer (You) signup page. To be able to download the gift for FREE, the member need to enter his name and e-mail into your prepared opt-in page. So in a real essence, anyone member who wants to download "your" gift must opt into "your" mailing list to download "your" gift.

Your visitors-turned-subscribers has the option to cancel their subscription to your mailing list at any time, of course, but it is your opportunity to build your relationship with the subscribers of your mailing list and transfer them to buying customers.

That’s EXACTLY how you’re going to build your mailing list after all. But where DO these visitors come from? Give Away events are really using subscribers to make subscribers. On the launch day and during the limited time event, you and other partners and contributors are required by the host to endorse the Give Away event to your individual mailing lists. Those resources combined gives a lot of marketing power.

Whatever the reason is for the Give Away (like the Santa Big GiveAway I partnered with), every partner will request subscribers to check out the Give Away event on a website where all the gifts are pooled together. With the host and other partners are doing the same, it will be a massive gathering of traffic at the website where all the gifts are being displayed.

In this collective effort, as long as your gift is displayed there with a link to signup for your mailing list to download it, and people are interested in it, you can receive plenty of new signups in a short time span! Do you like to join? Santas Big Give Away Event is a good one to start with!

Build Your List By Giving Away Your Products!
What?! Yep, one of the best ways to build your list is to give away your products. I’ve personally been giving away my products this year and reaping the benefits by growing my list. There is a saying, “You have to give to receive” and it’s true. It is a natural law, called “The Ethic of Reciprocity”. What better than joining !

Twitter big tip.
If you really want to maximize the potential with Twitter, you should make sure to take advantage of any plug-ins or sites that support Twitter. Here are three:
1. Squidoo allows you to input your Twitter account info into your Squidoo account and then it can automatically post updates to your Twitter account when you create or update Squidoo lenses.
2. Facebook has an application called Twitter, it automatically updates your Facebook status when you make a Twitter post.
3. The other tool is a free WordPress plug-in called TweetMyBlog that allows you to create a two-way connection from your blogs to Twitter. TweetMyBlog allows you to use a widget on your Wordpress blogs that will display your current Twitter feed.. that way all visitors to your blog can look at the widget and see a running feed of your latest Twitter posts. If they click on that they will be brought to your Twitter page. In addition, when you make a new post to your blog, TweetMyBlog will automatically make a post to your Twitter page with a link to your latest blog post.
