Online Games replacing Video Games Night. Because of the current the recession, a cut back on video game spending is expected.

One-third of US Internet users surveyed in October said they would cut back on their video game spending, that was much less than some other categories.

Playing online games at home is certainly another way to fight the recesion as cost is much lower compared to video game playing outdoors.

For instance, one-half of respondents said they would cut back on entertainment overall, while 57% said they would cut back on dining out.

New trends are noticed into playing video and therefor also online games by adults. More than one-half of US adults play video games, and about one in five play every day or almost every day! This according to a new report issued by Pew Internet & American Life Project.

Age is closely related to gaming: More than four out of five US adults ages 18 to 29 said they were video gamers, while only 23% of respondents 65 and older said the same.

Eating dinner at home followed by online games on "video game night" may be increasingly popular in 2009.

The new uVme Black Diamond website is to be released on Monday 23rd June 2008.

2. Two newly announced games: “Mini-golf” (”Crazy Golf” in the UK) and “Battleships“. These are only at the rough gameplay stage and need graphics before we can get screenshots. Who doesn’t like mini-golf, trying to putt your ball around all the different wacky obstacles? And “Battleships” (also known as “Salvo” or “Broadsides”) has been around in one form or another since before WWI, so should be immensely popular too.

3. Update on the other brand-new uVme game, “Blob Factory”, now it is in its last stages of testing and should be available for everyone to try on uVme.com within the next few weeks.

4. Commissions for Cycle 4, which ended april 27 at midnight, have already been calculated and posted to Active Associates’ e-wallets. While usually it took 4-5 days for payment after each cycle ends, the process has become more and more streamlined, allowing now to get funds paid in less than 24 hours after the end of the cycle!

5. A new compensation plan will be implemented. The monthly cycle fee will disappear, only an optional (smaller amount) can be considered for certain backoffice features. Not sure yet when this will be implemented.
