Webprosperity is launching today. Web Prosperity is a powerline MLM. Meaning people can join the powerline and reserve their position for free. It’s a straight line. Powerlines are hype driven. It’s a fear of loss and works really well to encourage people to sign up.

Most people joining the powerline are joining for the opportunity not to become a customer for the products. Products are usually not that good in a powerline. Typically the products are available elsewhere for free or low cost.

What about other MLM powerlines during the last few years. Some had also big hype. What about ProBuilderPlus, ProWealthSolutions, Wowzza? I’m sure you can add some more. A few more powerline builders are launching later this month.

According to the Federal Trade Commission this is a violation of their policies regarding what is a legitimate MLM and what is a scam. In a legitimate MLM company you should have 2/3rds customers who use the product but do not participate in the mlm building part. This is why many companies require their distributors to sign up at least 2 customers.

Too be realistic, many fully legitimate MLM companies are not making it either, mainly for the same reason: product weaknesses. Only a few stay in the market and keep growing (slowly most of the times) but survive because of offering a good valuable product.

In less then 10 days over 50,000 people have jumped on board Webprosperity to “Secure Their Place”. Put that it into perspective; 50,000 people is not that many considering Implix’s flagship product GetResponse has over 600,000 active and satisfied customers (I have been with getresponse twice myself for several years. however I just opened an account with Aweber as well).

Not having seen the Web Prosperity tools and how easy they are to use, it is hard to say exactly what markets people will be able to market this tool. Network marketers will definitely benefit from using most of the tools, affiliate and Internet marketers maybe, and small to medium businesses may or may not find value.

The Webprosperity Meeting functionality could be a very good application, that alone would warrant for some customers the $59.95/mo premium package for that Webprosperity is offering.

On the Webprosperity Free Sign Up Page there are 6 main tools that are listed: Meeting, Contact, Media, Finder, Address Book and Calendar. There is nothing exciting about this. Most have 3 components listed, much hype, very little details. All seems to be available in other applications for free. There are numerous free autoresponder services available, none as good and solid as Aweber and GetResponse. Does WebProsperity includes a getresponse account?
Is Webprosperity Good Value? It’s really impossible to say until the tools and service has been rigorously tested by many thousands of people. If the tools live up to Implix’s high standard then I would say the Webprosperity will be extremely good value. Then I will sign up!
